The UAE & Brunei

In this essay I am going to compare and contrast two countries, Brunei and the UAE.

First of all let's talk about the similarites. Both Brunei and UAE are Islamic countries and they both have hereditary monarchies. In addition, Both countries are very rich becuase of the large-scale natural resources of oil and gas. One more similarity is that both countries have national airlines, modern airports and well-developed infrastructures.

Now it's time to discuss the differences between UAE and Brunei. First and most obvious is geographical location. The UAE is in the Middle East whereas Brunei is a tropical country in the Far East. Another difference is climate. The UAE has winter and summer, but in Brunei the weather is largely the same all year round. It also rains a lot more in Brunei and , as a result the tradition is to build houses on stilts. Another difference is the currency, dirhams in the UAE and ringgits in Brunei. Furthermore, people drive on the right in the UAE but on the left in Brunei. Secondary education in single-sex in the UAE but co-educational in Brunei. A final difference is dress; people in Brunei do not wear dishdashas or ubayas.

I think I prefer UAE to Brunei because it's where I grow up, but from what I heard Brunei is as good as UAE.

Reflection 4

Compare & contrast essays should consist of:

A brife introduction saying which two things you are going to compare ( similarities) & contrast ( differences )

A paragraph in which you discuss differences. Again there should be at least 3 or 4.

A conclusion in which you state some kind of prefernce for one over the other. It dosen't have to be black and white i.e. one is good and the other is bad you can positive about both things.

Reflection 3

When writing a process essays you need to be careful with the use of the passive. Basically, process essays involve the present passive usually is/are with the past participle.

It's important to know that with some verbs the simple past & past participle are the same, but with other verbs there are 2 separate forms. e . g. go, went & gone.

The same linking words can be used: first, secondly, next after that, finally.

Reflection 2

Writing a narrative is more likely easy for people becuase you can use your imagination to write the paragraph.

You have to write three paragraphs, the first paragraph has the introduction of the story and the complete is in the body but the conclusion have your recommendations of that story and what did you feel, that's must be more than words.
if we don't try to write and imagine many actions will be boring.

Reflection 1

In writing procedure I think getting a full mark is an easy task because you have a guide to follow step by step.

You need to write three paragraphs which are an introduction and the body, where you need to write the steps giving with more details, and finnaly the conclusion.

The first paragraph needs to have about 25 words and the second paragraph needs to have more than 100 words and the last paragraph needs to have less than 30 words.

Well, my grandfather wanted to make it different for me so he thought he could take us to something different in my birthday. The three day passed and when it was my birthday I woke up because of my grandfather voice yelling at my family to get their stuff ready before I wake up. When he first saw me he said we going to the old farm Rashed get your self a fast break fast while we are preparing the things. I was very happy because when I was a kid he used to take me there for weeks. We drove there and it took us about 2hours and then he took me in a walk around the farm telling me the things we used to do when I was a kid we stopped near the pool and he said you used to love this place. How to make a portfolio

Papers, papers, papers. Students often feel overwhelmed by the number of papers they receive from their teachers, and it may seem like throwing all of them in the trunk of the car is the best solution. However, it is actually quite easy to organize your class notes in a neat portfolio. Let me outline the steps.First, find all your papers. Second, sort your papers into logical division such as reading, writing, speaking and listening, among others. Next, put your papers into the different sections. After that, buy a binder and some colored dividers, write section headings for the dividers and match them with a table of contents page. Finally, make a label for the side of the blinder and include important information such as the class code and your name.As we have seen, it is easy to make a portfolio. You will be proud of your neat, well-organized work!

Trip to the desert of Liwa

In 2003 me and my best friend planned to go liwa so we can camp there. Well we sorted our things in like one week but we had a problem that we couldn't find a tent that weights low, all what we have found is heavy tents so we chosen to pick a plastic tent and it looks pretty good. The next day we started to move to liwa

While we were moving to liwa the car tire exploded and we had to change it. The tire was stuck and we took about tow hours fixing it then finally changed it and kept moving. When we reached there we found more farms which totally changed the view we had about liwa. We kept moving street to the desert and after 10 kilo meters we were in the middle of the desert so we started to look for a good spot for our camping. After ten minutes we agreed in a spot so we set the tent and started to cook our lunch. We actually were feeling tired so we cooked something fast and ate it then we slept for one hour. We spend very good two days there

The trap was good even though we had some problems in the start but at the end we had some good time to spend in the desert of liwa
